Dr. Vaakiny Raguthevan was born in Toronto and raised in Markham, Ontario. She completed high school at Middlefield Collegiate Institute and her Honours Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology at the University of Toronto. She attended the University of Waterloo School of Optometry for her optometric training and graduated in 2021 with a Doctor of Optometry. During this time, She completed clinical externships at Kniaziew Optometry, a primary care clinic in Scarborough, ON and at the University of Waterloo Optometry clinics.
Dr. Vaakiny Raguthevan also provided free eye care during a volunteer mission trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica. In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga, baking, playing the piano and exploring new places in Southwestern Ontario. Dr. Vaakiny Raguthevan looks forward to working with my patients at the Petrolia and Wallaceburg locations.
